Microsoft just announced that contrary to everything they’ve done so far, they are now working on making IE8 as web standard as they can. Dean Hachamovitch, General Manager of Internet Explorer (and secret user of Firefox when Bill isn’t watching) just said:
We’ve decided that IE8 will, by default, interpret web content in the most standards compliant way it can. This decision is a change from what we’ve posted previously.
Wait. “IE8” and “standards” on the same sentence? Exaaactly.
In other news, Cheshire the Cat just announced that as of today he will no longer use the famous magenta stripes as his default color scheme. He now plans on switching to a blue color scheme to reflect his endorsement to the Obama campaign.
