My father, my brother, my friend
There is no easy way to say write this. After fighting Lung Cancer for over 6 months, my Father, my Brother, my Friend, passed away at the age of 59.

I’m very very proud to present to you my first born child: Biel Andreu was born on a beautiful Saturday morning 14th March 2009 at 7:01am. He weighed 7 lbs and was 19.29 inches long at birth.
Being present at the time he was born was… an undescriptible experience. Seriously, you can read about it, you can watch Nine Months several times, you can even ask your brothers and friends, but even all those things together will only give you a tiny little glimpse of the real deal.
Gabriele is doing great. I really think it has something to do with her german genes or something - even doctors are amazed at how quick she’s recovering. Me? I’m tired but incredibly happy. We just got the word we’ll be going home Tuesday 10pm. Can’t wait to take Biel home and show him the room we have ready for him.

Before I start, let me just say two things:
Ok, having said that, yes, this post means I made it through the 20’s and the day finally arrived: Today I’m turning 30 which is actually weird considering (true story) two years ago I spent 8 full months thinking I was one year older than what I really was. Then one night I was sitting with Kenny and Rebekah sharing our epiphanies in the middle of a full moon I said “Having 29 is so weird-” And Rebekah immediately said “Dude, but you’re 28!”

Slowly but surely I’m catching up with my Flickering. These are from the road trip we took with Kenny, Rebekah and Martin to Vegas on Labor Weekend. Needless to say we had a blast. We got to see David Copperfield, a dude dressed like a lady and guy who I’m sure is John McCain lost brother. Go check it out.

Here’s some Mac Pr0n for ya. The King has been upgraded, long live the King! This is the new MacBook Pro next to the “old” model. Pictures though, can’t show you how sturdy, solid and more rigid this new model feels. While the specs states the body is now only 0.05 inches thinner, it definitively feels like a lot more, must be the curvy display lid. Another thing you can’t tell from the pics (and something that I was HIGHLY concerned about) is that the new unibody does actually have the same “breathing/pulsating” light that the previous MacBook Pro, only this time it’s “hidden” under the aluminum body, same as with the iSight camera on previous models. Click here if you would like to see more pics.

I know we don’t have in common. You guys love coffee, we don’t even have Starbucks down here. We love soccer, you guys find it booooring, but there has to be something that unite us, something more than just the fact that we happen to share the same planet. I like to believe that something is called HOPE. Hope in a better world, with smarter people making smarter choices.

I finally managed to pick 70-something photos out of the 1500 I took last August/September on my last trip to Albuquerque and upload them to Flickr. You can check them out here.

What a trip that was. I finally got to Asuncion today back from my last journey which by the way, feels like it started in 1987.
Boy, that was long, but looking back it was the coolest trip I ever had! Just to give you an idea, here are some numbers of the past 2 months:
Now all I have to do is tackle my Inbox (quick apologize to all my friends and clients for not being able to set up an Auto-Responder in time) and get back on track with all the work and upcoming projects in the next few weeks. All I can say is: THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Joshua Holnagel just sent me this great picture of the poster at the Graphic Arts class where he teaches. Thank you so much Joshua! I feel incredibly honored and I appreciate your taking the time to send this to me. Ok, back to work.
