The Obelisco on the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest street in the World
Here’s a piece of advise for all my friends and readers in the US and across the pond: Sell all your belongings now and move south. I’m not talking about Miami-Kinda-South. I’m talking about south, south, like Buenos Aires South.

Laurent Sicard, a french photographer have a really nice set of QTVR photos, now I wouldn’t normally care much for QTVR (they don’t seem VR enough sometimes) but this ones are very well done. The one from Times Square is my favorite by far. It’s the closest you’ll get to experience the center of the universe without getting run over by Punks at 2AM in the morning, or punched by Rocky. Aww man good times, good times.

(via Tim Ferri’s www.fourhourworkweek.com)
Tim convinced Dan to post an excerpt of Dan’s Escape 101 Book (which I’m now obliged to buy) where he talks about how traveling isn’t limited to 20-something singles.
This subject will usually be of my interest already (despite the fact me and G still haven’t got any kids. yet) so I started reading the transcript, but now I’m specially drawn to get this book after I read this:
Still, despite Eve’s super-traveler status and my calm demeanor, I was seriously nervous on the inside. What were we thinking? I thought. This is crazy, bringing a kid here. We have no idea what we’re getting into. To a large extent this was true. We’d agreed to come to Paraguay, a relatively low profile country in South America, over coffee. It was as simple as that.
What? Paraguay you said?
Apparently Dan, his wife and daughter stayed in Paraguay for about 5 months, and in this book they talk about (among other things) their experience and details of their journey.
Anyway on the very same post Tim talks about his plans to come down to Uruguay (2 hours flight from Paraguay, and although it sounds similar, they are totally two different countries) and his requesting someone in the vecinity of La Barra to share a room with.
I don’t have any acquaintances in Punta del Este Tim, but if you feel like visiting a 117 F, 100 % humid country, you’re more than welcome to stay at my casa in Asuncion.
